Will I be able to add a Wireless N card to my Dual G4 PowerMac to take advantage of the new N speeds or am I limited to Wireless G? I have a FW 800 PowerMac

I doubt Apple will release an 802.11n card for the Airport Express slot.
You can use a PCI card, USB dongle, or Ethernet dongle.

So my current mac is not limited to 802.11g? Any third party cards? Obviously networking is not my strong point although I've set up a Linksys network in my home. I'd like to get the new Airport
base station and upgrade the cards in my Mac. Any PCI or dongle solutions to recommend?

There are at least a half dozen USB options, but I don't know if any have OSX drivers.

Unless you want the printer/external drive support Airport Extreme has, I'd save the $80 and go with one of the other brands.
