Hello!!
I need some help, my house mate who runs the home network has it set up on an airport using WEP (yes I know not a good thing) encryption - I have the password for it (and it worked fine until my company took my powerbook away from me and gave me this horrible windows laptop instead)
Whats worse is he has gone on a diving holiday for 6 weeks (its alright for some) and I can't connect to the wired part of the network as its locked in his room!!
Reading:
AirPort Extreme: Getting an equivalent network password gives instructions of how to get a wireless equivalent key.
I was hoping someone might be willing to set up their airport with my password, and extract the wireless equivalent key (this is on the assumption that apple's hashing algorithm is consistant) and post the hex form of the key here? Oh and I'm afraid dont know if its 64 bit or 128 bit
I'd really be greatful if you could help me out - having to go to internet cafes to get online is really annoying me!!
The password is:
mischief
Thanks
Simon
(actually I'd be really curious for a couple of people to post what they get out as the hashed key - to see if apples algorithm is consistant...)
