Thanks a lot BIG MAC i shall try it ...
Another Issue....

I have given a static IP,router id..and want to join a windows domain...but when i try to bind the domain...in directory service..it says...invalid domain name...or DNS not found..something like that ...
What's the correct way of join a domain ...with active directory and then use microsoft exchange to access the email....or is it necessary to join the domain for email accessing?pls help...

Please choose a more relevant title. I've also moved this to the Networking forum.

Also, a little more details would be helpful to determine the root cause of the problem. For example, did it say `invalid domain name' or `DNS not found' or both?
