My Setup:
MacBook (Black) - 2 Ghz Core Duo (Non-802.11n)
Mac Mini - 1.5 Ghz Core Solo (Non-802.11n)

Old Network:
(2) Airport Expresses connected via DSL and connected via a Wireless Distribution System (WDS)
Airport #1: Connected to the DSL
Airport #2: Connected to an HP Printer

New Network
(2) Airport Extremes connected via DSL and connected via a Wireless Distribution System (WDS)
Airport #1: Connected to DSL & (3) USB 2.0 Hard Drives
Airport #2: Connected to an HP Printer

Speed Test using old Network (Airport Express)
- Mounted the Mac Mini's Hard Drive on the MacBook
- Transferred a 254 MB File
- 9 Minutes, 50 Seconds or 9.8333 Minutes or 590 Seconds
- Avg Speed: 0.43 MB/sec

Speed Test using new Network (Airport Extreme)
- Mounted the Mac Mini's Hard Drive on the MacBook
- Transferred a 254 MB File
- 3 Minutes, 19 Seconds or 3.31666 Minutes or 198 Seconds
- Avg. Speed: 1.28 MB/sec

Speed Test using new Network (Airport Extreme)
- Mounted the USB Hard Drives connected directly to the Airport
- Transferred a 254 MB File
- 1 Minute, 57 Seconds or 1.95 Minutes or 117 Seconds
- Avg. Speed: 2.17 MB/sec

That's close to a 300% increase between the old network and the new network. Can't wait to really realize even more speed when I upgrade the MacBook to a 802.11n and Apple finally gets on the ball and upgrades the Mac Mini to an 802.11n chipset. Just FYI.

Definitions could be helpful here, iDriveX. Are you talking about 2.17 megaBYTES or megaBITS? If it's bits, then spice is right and there's something wrong. If it's bytes, you're not as fast as you could be, but it's most likely a configuration issue.

It's Mega BYTES, not bits.
