In my house, I have a DLink Cable/DSL router, which I connect to an old-school Airport Extreme (802.11g) to provide wireless services in my house. Due to security concerns, my wireless network is encrypted using WPA2-PSK. However, I recently purchased a Nintendo DS, which does not support WPA encryption, only WEP.
Since I would rather not have to reconfigure my wireless network as WEP encrypted, I have been trying to figure out what my options are. My ideal solution would be to purchase another AP, set it up for WEP encryption, and somehow isolate it onto its own VLAN, which only routes to my cable modem.
To achieve this, I think that I would need a router which supports vlans. Do you know of a cheap router that can help me accomplish this? Or do you have any other suggestions?
