I am facing a strange phenomenon that really keeps me confused, two months now. I live in a university campus with high speed internet (via ethernet). I managed to share the internet connection through my macbook's airport to a pc. However, this is possible only if I am in boot camp environment. I set up an ad hoc network and everything is fine. When i am switching to macOS and try to share the internet connection, i cannot share it even to another macbook. the connection works, SKYPE works also, but no internet or msn for the client computer. this is really annoying and I cannot find a possible solution.can somebody recommend me an online guide or sth related for that?

my set up is like that: windows sharing and personal web sharing are ticked, and in the airport options i chose an automatic channel. when the other pc tries to connect, i have to change in the advanced settings the option from "computer to computer" to "any access point".
