Hi,

I am thinking of switching to the new Airport Extreme, but have always used a combined ADSLrouter/Wifi Combo, linksys etc.

What do people recommend as a standalone ADSL modem to link to the new Airport Extreme.

It shouldn't really matter. Couldn't you just turn off the WIFI feature of the Linksys?

It shouldn't matter, Big Mac is right. You can try to turn off the Linksys wifi, failing that, you can turn off broadcast name. I had to do that with a Verizon fiber optic/wireless router because you can't turn off the wifi. So it technically still broadcasts but no one can see it (easily!)
