My wireless network loses its ip address from the cable modem whenever I am running high bandwidth apps, especially torrents. It seems to be related to upload speed as it has been reported on the linksys forums relating to cable modems. They have no solutions and I wondered if anyone on this forum had any ideas. Linksys doesn't offer Mac related support.
Cable Modem is a linksys befcmu10 ver 2.0
ISP Charter
Wireless router is a new Belkin, I bought it when the problem started as I thought it was related to the router. No change with the Belkin.
I've also used netgear and linksys with no difference and now I find the dropped internet connection reported mostly on linksys cable modems. Any ideas? Port forwarding on the router doesn't seem to help. I'm tired of running to the basement and restarting everything.
Many thanks
