I was recently approved for VPN access to my company's servers and was sent a link to download MCI Access Manager, as well as an RSA fob. System specs on the download page state that Access Manager will only work in a Windows environment, and Help Desk at corporate tells me there's no way to connect to VPN using my Mac. I know there's got to be a way--I'm just not very knowledgeable about VPN setup and completely unfamiliar with the Access Manager software.

Can I use the built-in VPN setup in my Internet Connect? Is it just a matter of getting certain info from my company's IT group, or will I really not be able to connect remotely?

Appreciate the help!

Are you attempting to circumvent corporate network policies by connecting an unauthorized device?

They generally don't look too fondly upon that here.

Since you'd have to talk to the IT folks anyway, let them know that you have a Mac and that the access software is Windows only. They should put two and two together. They should be able to at least point out where to go next.

And as mduell states, we do look negatively on trying to get around the policies of the network's owner. However, this does not sound like the situation you have.

Let us know what the IT people say.

No, I'm not trying to circumvent anything--I have access permission and the security fob. Just trying to figure out how to get connected since I own an "unsupported" platform. Will let you know what the IT guys have to say.

Thanks!
