For the sake of efficiency, when ordering multiple items from iTunes (say, TV Shows), is it better to download them one at a time, or all at once? Sure, if you download them all at once, it's a longer time until you have something complete that can be watched, but assuming all you care about is the total elapsed time, what's the best approach?

Oooo, here's an intriguing possibility: Is it possible to do it via the Terminal instead of the GUI to get a little extra speed? Or is that poppycock?

I'd say it's a lot easier to use the shopping cart approach. In regard to wait time, if you're talking about movies, you can watch them while they're still downloading. And each song can be listened to as soon as it downloads, regardless of batch downloading.

All true. But that doesn't answer the question of how I can achieve the greatest overall speed.

I don't think it will make much difference. You're going to get the same download speed. And there's no optimization or command line modes you can use.

If you surn on one-click shopping or whatever it's called you can get the downloads started as soon as possible, which would probably be faster.
