I'm curious about the strange behavior of the AP status icon in my menu bar.

I've noticed this only on my draft-n capable MBP when it's connected to the draft-n AP Extreme. My AP menu bar status icon always shows four bars. But as soon as I click on the status icon, it drops to two bars. Once I close the menu, it goes back to four bars.

Throughput is fine though and the AP Utility app shows I'm getting 130 Mbps with -60dBm signal and about -100dBm noise which seems rather normal. But what's the deal with the disappearing bars? Is it just a GUI bug? Which do you believe - the four bars of the inactive icon or the two bars of the opened menu?
