my d-link di-524 is dying, so i want to replace it.
looking to spend about $50.

i can get another 524, or the linksys wrt54g, or a belkin F5D7231-4...

any thoughts?
thought i'd ask my macnn community before buying...

I like the WRT54G. Of the three, it's the only one I have experience with. It's reliable.

well, after exhaustive research (really!) i am going to try the belkin.
interesting, tho...EVERYONE has an opinion, and no 2 are the same

reading amazon, or newegg, or cnet...etc etc:
a 10-star review will be followed by a 1-star.

so...we'll see.

I have had very bad experiences with linksys WRT54G routers and 1 macbook and 1 macbook pro. The router would drop the DNS after the laptops would be connected for a while. I went through 2 of them and then I just gave up and bought a netgear router and have never looked back.
