I have an Airport Extreme Base Station A1034 that I'm trying to set up, but Time Warner is picky about MAC Addresses because they have their own wireless service, so I'm trying to change the MAC Address (a.k.a., Airport ID) on it. I've gotten other computers that didn't normally connect to work by changing their MAC Addresses to my main computer's. However even though I can see the "Airport ID" in Airport Admin Utility, there doesn't appear to be any way to change it. I've even tried downloading the newest Airport firmware and hex editing the MAC address based on an article for changing Airport cards' mac addresses. An old Linksys router I have has a MAC Address Cloning option, but it's so buggy I can't get it to stay on the Internet very long, and I can't even connect to its configuration page. If I asked Time Warner to enable my router's MAC Address they would probably just tell me to start paying $10/month for their wireless service, which I don't even know the quality of. Can anyone here help me on this?
