I teach high school physics and finally got an LCD projector mounted in the ceiling. I could drive it from my MacBook Pro (Core Duo) but this would involve cables dangling from the ceiling to my desk and ties me to the front of the room.

I would prefer to drive the LCD from a Power Mac G4 (400MHz AGP) as this machine is against the wall (no cabling issues) and has my SCSI based data interface box (it’s a great box, 7 sensors at once, digital or analog, temperature, pressure, microphones, etc.).

My instructional content will be created on the laptop (Keynote and a Wacom Graphire tablet). I would like to have the Power Mac mirror my laptop to the LCD over airport.

I can get an additional ATI Rage 128 Pro card for $20 and thus drive the Studio Display and the LCD but I need help with the networking end of it.

Thanks

You could instal a VNC server (SourceForge.net: Vine Server (OSXvnc)) on your laptop and instal a VNC client (like Chicken of the VNC SourceForge.net: Chicken of the VNC) on the G4 box. So basically this will mirror your laptop's display to your G4 box wirelessly...
