Here's the scenario:

I bought an Airport Extreme (802.11n draft)

I have:
A. MacbookPro Core 2 Duo 2.33
B. Macbook Pro Core Duo 2.19
C. IBM Thinkpad T60

A. can see and use the network
B. cannot see or administer the network (and it's next to the airport, 2 inches away)
C. cannot see the network

I have tried security on and off in all permutations
I have upgraded both macs to all the latest software and firmware
I have looked on the Airport and it's in 802.11n (g & b compatible)

Any ideas on how to make my airport express see or be seen by 802.11g devices (I am OK with any degredation in speed.... I am in a foreign country so I am trying to set it up to work and then upgrade home base when I get there.)

Frustrated!!!

I had to do this.

Turn off all the security on the Airport Extreme.

Connect with the Windows computer.

Then use Airport Utility to turn the security on.

I had a rought first hours or so, but since then it's been great. Hang in there.

it seems it's a closed network.....

just enter the network name manually...
