I can't watch any Real streaming material from either BBC or C-SPAN using a Airport Extreme (the new thin Mac Mini looking version).

I have wired and wireless clients (OS X, XP Pro and Vista) and none of them can see streaming video. It just times out and tells me I have a network problem.

I think I'm missing a setting somewhere to let RTSP stuff stream from the internet?

Thanks.

Found the answer on Apple's forums.

Worked like a charm.

Real player needed some tweaking from the default settings.

Go to Preferences > Transport > then check "Use manually configured RTSP and PNA transport settings" and click "configure." In the box that appears, uncheck the check boxes for RTSP and PNA next to the TCP: option.

Also, uncheck the multicast check boxes too.

Not totally fixed.

It drops the stream after a few minutes.
