I know that everything I read only lists this as a USB printer port but is it at all possible to configure this port to share a USB external drive (320GB Seagate in CoolerMaster XCraft enclosure). I would like to use it as storage for music and photos and have both of my PowerBook G4's (and PC laptop if ever needed as a last resort!) connect to it over the network.
I know the new AirPort Extreme would be the way to go (and in the future I will probably get one) but for now the AirPort Express is doing an awesome job. I am getting more range out of it than my old Netcomm router and also the Motorola router/modem that I borrowed off my brother for a while, I can now get the network at the other end of the house. I originally bought the Express to extend the range of the Motorola router/modem but after plugging it into my old original stand-a-lone modem I gave the Motorola back to my brother!
All I need at the moment is the Express but I want to use the external HDD for all of my computers, is there any way this can happen???

This is not possible. You need the new extreme n to do what you want. You could share the photos and music on one computer, and use them on another, however.

I was trying to avoid having to leave one computer on all the time so that the other one can access the files, looks like I need to start saving again and get the Extreme N ... I hate having to buy the good stuff ... not! Just takes longer to get what you want but you won't be dissapointed when it finally happens
What is the best USB hub to add to the Extreme so that I can add multiple drives to my network?? 4 USB port minimum I would guess (2 drives and 2 spare), there is a new one from Belkin, has anyone used it yet?? It is the USB Plus Hub (4 port) # F5U304auWHT??
Thanks!

The hub should not make any difference as long as it is USB2 and powered.

I'd say that peeb is right except that you want a QUALITY hub, not the cheapest you can find. Go with a known brand and be ready to pay a little extra for a higher level of quality. You'll be glad you did. There's another, fairly current thread, about someone's experience with doing what you want to do and having the hub be the weak link-individual parts seem to work, but when he connects them all together through the hub, even the AirPort Extreme stops working! Yikes! Spend a bit more and be happy with one purchase instead of spending less several times while searching for a usable product.
