Hi.

We have here some PCs an my iMac (Panther 10.3.9) in a local network. We are using a Apache server and a HD shared via ftp address (since windows file sharing does not work very well) to make our workgroups. I'm using Cyberduck to put and get files from server and dreamweaver makes that automaticly. Finder makes an alias but I can only read - not write - and is very unstable. I think that may be better if that alias works as a real unit (like an external HD) so I could work on files directly (open a file with an application and save it).

Anybody can tell me how this can be made?

i can't help with the FTP thing, but maybe you should try to get the file sharing working between the computers.

try these instructions Sharing files between a Windows XP PC and a Mac running OS 10.3.x
