Network is Airport Extreme b/g and Airport Express joined to the airport extreme network. Steady green light

Firmware version 6.3 on Express.

Airport Admin Utility beach balls iwhen I try to config Express.

Extreme speakers appear in iTunes 7 but progress bar Barber-Shops when I try to connect.

Have to Hard reset Extreme to flashing yellow LED to re-config which goes ok. Then same as above.

Am I doing something wrong?

Went to firmware 5 and then 6.3 with Express, no joy

Help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

Try a full reset and rename* your Airport Express, helps me always. (*complete new name!)

I'm having EXACTLY the same problem: AP Express connected to existing wifi network.

Everything's set up properly:
  • AP Express connected to the wifi network
  • recognized by the router (GlobeSurfer II)
  • recognized by iTunes
I get a beachball when I try to play music through AP Express via iTunes... it spins for maybe a minute and then goes back to computer speakers.

The weirdest thing is that a friend brought her AP Express and we set it up in 2 minutes and it worked like a breeze!!

Another thing: when I set up AP Express as a standalone wifi provider with its own network it works perfectly!

Firmware is 6.3 so this is definitely not a problem. Who's crazy here?

I'm pretty sure it's the Airport Express... Try to reset it completely an give it a complete NEW name... ent hen let it re-join your network.
