After reading a bunch of "reports" online that this card will work with the Mac if you download the GlobeTrotter software from Option's (the manuf) website I took the plunge. I did get the software but cant seem to get it to connect at speeds faster than GSM when I am booted into OSX...about 300k on the download.

When I jump over to XP on Boot Camp I get EDGE type speeds of 1.5mb. Of course, Windows is officially supported and there is software in the box that installs on XP. I got the APN, username and pwd settings out of that config and used it on the Mac side as well. I just cant get EDGE speeds in OSX.

I am connecting via the EDGE/3G option and there is no modem number on that connection, you only see that on the GSM side. No matter which one I use to connect, its 300k.

Has anyone had any luck with this? I tried using the Launch2Net program as mentioned on this site but that did absolutely nothing and I still ended up having to set the config manually and not using any of their preset ones. I uninstalled L2N and there was still no change.... 300k.

I have a 2 month old 17" MBP if that matters.
