My wife is now setting up a new Mac Pro with a new Airport Extreme router. She previously has been using my PC notebook with an ethernet acble to a D-Link wireless router to work on her web pages and upload information. We have a cable modem supplying our interner connection to the router.
She now has run the cable modem connection to the new airport extreme and runs her ethernet cable from the new router to the Apple. My PC is connected to the new extreme router via wireless connection from my laptop.
She recently tried to upload some web changes to my web site from my PC. It would not connect and upload the information. She needed to reconnect the PC to the old D-Link router to make the connection and upload the ionformation. She felt there might be some changes in the new airport routers IP address or something like that.
Does anyone know what her problem might be and what she has to do so that the new router will work as the old one did?
Also, What will she need to do to transfer any web files from the PC to her new Apple so that she can continue to work on her web sites from her Apple and not my PC anymore? Can the files just be moved from the PC to the Apple since the computers are networked?
Thanks
Gary
