Hi -

I have a problem in that I can't connect my Netgear modem/router with my Belkin wireless card. Here are the specs of my kit:

Apple Powerbook G4 Titanium 867mhz, no airport card, 512mb RAM, OS 10.3.9.

Belkin Wireless G Plus Notebook card, model no F5D7011, version no 1212uk, in the PC slot.

Netgear 54mbps wireless ADSL modem router, model DG834G v3.

My problem is that after getting the Netgear up and running with the Mac connected to the internet via ethernet, I can't work out how to get it to see the Belkin card. The card is seen by the computer as an icon pops up in the bar at the top of the screen, it is also seen in System Profiler as "Third Party Wireless Card".

Sorry if I'm stupid but it's taken me a while to get to this stage - is there something obvious I need to do now just to turn on the connection or something in System Prefs?

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks,
Gordie.

I've fixed your title. That should get more help for you than a generic "HELP!" cry. Sorry I can't help you myself.

If you go back to System Preferences --> Network can you see the card next to Show:?

Next to Show is a drop down menu with "Network Status, Built in Ethernet, Airport and Network Port Configurations" in the list. If I select Airport in the list, then below that is the Airport ID and below that is "By default, join" with another drop down menu with "Automatic and Join Specific Network" in it.

Does any of this sound good? Thanks for your help.
