Hi,

This may seem a really silly question but i will throw it in anyway...

I am looking at purchasing a Mac for the first time have hit confusion. I looking at an imac but I'm living in a house and sharing wireless internet with two other PC's through a D-Link router. Two questions-

1) Is it possible to still share wirless internet with the two PC's

2) Does the imac come wireless enableded... do i need to purchase airport?

I really uneducated with macs/ airport/networking so any help would be great! apologies as i realise these are VERY simpleton like questions!

First of all, welcome! Welcome to both this forum and to the Mac!
Short answers: easy and yes.
Wireless routers hand out TCP/IP connections, they don't care if the recipient is running Windows 2000 or Vista, Mac System 9 or OS X, Wii or Xbox.

...or PocketPC 2003, or whatever. Networking is as colorblind to hardware as it's possible to be.

Note that there are some "features" that don't work as well on some platforms as on others, but that's stuff that's beyond the standards. Wireless networking is STRONGLY standardized, (except for some terminology sometimes) so it should be just fine. Come back when you've gotten things set up, and we'll help you secure your network-a really important, yet fairly simple task.
