You don't need (and we don't want users to have) HTML code for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that spammers can (and often try to) use HTML to do Bad Things® to our forums. And vB code is almost as functional, yet provides an exceptional amount of control for our administrators, allowing them to prevent the above mentioned Bad Things®.

What, aside from a few cool tricks, would you "need" HTML code for?
