Hello,
About 3 years ago I purchased a Linksys WRT54G wireless router for use with my Tibook. Also purchased the accompanying card.
About 2 months ago the router started crapping out/lagging on me...so I replaced it, everything works fine.
3 days ago the Wireless card died on me - I can see the card icon in the dock but when I select it it says "Unknown Vendor" and "Unknown Card Type". I can't see any vendors, power up the card or view any other networks within my apartment complex.
I bought another updated Linksys card and get the same error...the only thing that preceeded this was my having to remove the battery for a day from my laptop to let someone else borrow it - when I put it back in my date and everything was reset.
Also, when I go to the Airport panel in Network, it shows it as "Off" and status as "No Airport Hardware Found"
Can anyone give me a walkthrough or advice with this? The Powerbook, to me, is pretty much worthless if I can't use it wirelessly or on the go.
