Hey, I've got a mid 2007 macbook with wireless-n installed. Just wondering, when I alt-click the wireless thing on the top bar, the maximum transmit rate I see is 130mb/s and I'm pretty sure wireless-n is 240mb/s. Even when i'm right next to the router it is 130 max. I'm using an airport extreme base station. Would anyone be able to tell me how to activate this wireless-n on my macbook if it isn't already?

Megabit or byte? The max I got on wireless G was 2.5 MBytes/s, on N I get 5.5 MBytes/s.

Ah I wont worry about it, its immense! Much better than my old router, no drop outs or anything, wireless printing aswell!

Up to 248 Mbit/s connecction speed (depends on frequencies used), but 74 Mbit/s (9.25MBps) is typical throughput.

With the AEBS(n), my connection is reported as 300Mbps (transmit rate) using 802.11n 5GHz mode. Real world speeds to my NAS is about 5.5MB/s (Mac -> NAS) and 8.9MB/s (NAS -> Mac). I get only 140Mbps when using 2.4GHz mode.
