Hello,

i can't get this from the website.

Is Time Capsule a full router or just an access point?

My ISP gives me the ability to connect maximum 3 computers to the internet. Now i have an access point and we have 4 computers, so each time one has no internet.
I'd like to know if Time Capsule or AirPort Extreme creates a new home network so that the isp would view all the computers connected to the network as one.

Hope you understand what i mean!

Thanks in advance!

If you don't need the wireless networking stuff offered by Time Capsule, check out other NAS solutions - you can find something better for cheaper.

Be aware most other NAS don't include a router or wireless or official/supported Time Machine backups.

True... There are rumors that an OS X update will enable TM backups on what are now labeled as "unsupported network volumes", I guess we'll have to see.

If Apple can get TM to work with TC, there is no technical reason why it could not work with any other network volume. If it didn't, it would actually be rather underhanded of Apple.
