Well heres the deal, I really dont need the BACKUP part of Time Capsule. Im running a macbook pro, not updated to leopard however. Anyways, I just need the Hard-Drive part of time capsule.
For instance, can I use this as a "portable hard drive"
and drag things on and off whenever i want?

PS: this isnt running leopard but the OSX version before leopard. (cant think of the name lol )

You can use it as a portable hard drive, but only over ethernet or wifi, not USB. The USB port is for more storage and/or printers only.
