I have a airport express and i would like to use it to play music wirelessly. I have found a decent pair of speakers that look like they could put out some nice sound but look quite old. Attached is a picture of the connection jacks, is there anyway that I can buy a wire to hook the airport express up to this speaker?
Not directly, you'll need some sort of amplifier. The AE just outputs the signal, not a speaker level connection. It's basically just a headphone jack.
There are a lot of used amps that you can get for a good deal, as people are moving away from component stereos in favor of home theater setups and mini systems. On my local craigslist there are lots of tuner/amps for sale under $50.
