Hi all,
I was wondering if it's possible to wake a MacBook connected via Ethernet to an Airport base station from beyond the LAN?
The MacBook is connected via Ethernet to the Airport base station. It has Wake for Ethernet Access enabled. I'm using WakeOnLAN to wake the computer on the LAN. Airport is configured to forward UDP 9 (the port used by WakeOnLAN) from its external IP address to the MacBook's address on the LAN, and I'm telling WakeOnLAN to send the packet to the Airport's external address. This configuration works to wake the MacBook when both it and the other computer are on the LAN, but when I try to wake the MacBook while on another network, no dice.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks a lot!
