Hi all,

I want to hook my old eMac up to my wireless network. It does NOT have airport installed, and it's in a part of the house where running a cable is NOT an option. I was wondering, can I use a wireless access point? Does that allow me to plug the eMac in via ethernet cable and then the access point allows it to use the wireless network in my house?? Thanks.

You've asked a VERY broad question here. The answer is a definite "sure, but what else do you want and how much do you want to spend?"

There are a number of wireless devices that will act as a "wireless bridge" and suit your needs. Some of them are marketed as access points, others as "game adapters" and still others as just plain "wireless bridges." Start searching for either "wireless bridge" or "game adapter" and see what comes up. And note that some other devices, such as wireless routers, may also be able to work in a bridged mode, either with native software or third party software.
