I have two iBook G4s. One is a 14" and the other is a 12". I can not get them to connect to the wireless.

I've tried reinstalling the OS, deleting Network preferences, deleting keychains, nothing.

All it ever tells me is "There was an error joining the AirPort network '...'"

Apparently the iBooks work elsewhere, just not here. They are the only iBooks having a problem.

Any suggestions before I chuck them out of the window?

So, other ibooks or PowerBooks are connecting ok? some older OS versions don't work well with all the wireless security protocols... that might be one thought. I bet if you turn off password/security on the router they will connect...

The first thing, as chipchen says, is to reset the wireless and turn off security. If the iBooks work elsewhere, you likely have an issue with the specific security settup on your network.
