I have a G4 iMac (10.4), an Airport Extreme 11n, an Epson C80 printer (via USB to the Airport) and a HP 7280 printer (via wireless to the Airport) in a network, which works just fine. I just added a MacBook Pro (10.5) (wireless to the Airport). I can’t get the MacBook Pro to print on either printer. I get error messages that say “communications error” and “job stopped”. The System Preferences/Print & Fax panels on both computers show both printers, and the software for both printers in on both computers. Any suggestions as to what I should do to solve this problem? Thanks!

First, make sure that printer sharing is turned OFF on all the computers connected to the network.

One of the cups developers has released a FixAirportPrinter app. But first, make sure to update to 10.5.2 (via Software Update) and install the latest version of the Security fix (version 1.1 and not version 1.0).

Then download the FixAirportPrinter app (follow the three easy steps).

Does it work now?
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
