I'm checking out different isp's for the new place im getting. The verizon FiOS service offers package of 15MBps download and 2MBps upload. The also offer one of 15 download and 15 upload. Why would you need more upload speed and would i notice a real difference between the connection speeds?

Thanks for the help.

For a regular user, the primary thing you use your upload side for is sending web requests ("please show me this page:...") Sometimes you'd upload files like pictures or videos, but not often enough to "need" a really fast upload connection.

You'd need more upload speed if you were hosting a site. If you're just after BAD-@$$ speed( ), 2 up/15 down is "more than adequate. My current DSL service gives me dependably 600k up and 5Mbps down, and it's pretty darn fast.
