I have done a fair bit of Googling but most information seems to be relating to OSX 9. I need to transfer files between my iBook and Macbook Pro and wish to do so via Firewire. I need to know what needs to be done and what sort of cord I need to purchase.
Thanks in advance.

Connect the two with the firewire cable, and then boot the iBook while holding down the "T" key until the screen shows a purple background with an orange firewire symbol. This is target disk mode. The drive of the iBook should mount on your MacBook Pro just like a regular external drive.
