Macbook Air does not show Airport status/forgets network

everytime my new MBA is started up, I have to select my home network again.
After connected, in the Menubar up top,it does not show any "bars" on my wireless network connection, even when I am on the network (like now)

This happened to may Imac, i fixed my end via making sure all the setttings was set up correctly.

That sounds like the classic "AirPort forgets the network" problem. Are you actually booting the MBA when you experience this, or are you just waking it up?
