Hi everyone. I hope one of you can help me. I have a Cable modem and Router in my basement office. I get a good signal in 3/4 of my house, but nothing in my bedroom. Can I spilt the cable line in my bedroom coming out of the wall plate? One line going to my tv/cable box and one going to my router?? Bascially I want to move my router upstairs.

Thanks

When you say 'signal', you've got a wireless router?
I assume the TV part of this is fine, and that you want better wireless reception?

I don't know much about splicing cable cables, but the simplest way to do this would be to run a cat 5 cable from the modem to the router, and move the router that way, or else put in wireless repeater.
A directional antenna may also help.

You need a cable splitter.
