I just moved out of an area where I was limited to dial-up. At my new house, I've ordered Verizon DSL 7.1Mbps (will be installed in a couple days; I'll be sure to write a review here and/or on my blog).

The online deal was first month free, then $42.99 for months 2-12. The fine print states that there will be a rate increase after the first year.

Does anyone know what the rate increase will be? Even a general idea of how much to expect?

I expect to stick with it unless it's a *huge* increase.

...the "highest speed" DSL is $45 a month, so it doesn't look like you'll be out of pocket much more. And of course, feel free to call them up and say you'll disconnect to get equal / better pricing...
