Hello,
I am trying to connect my PS3 to my iMac wirelessy and share my ethernet connection.
I am currently at uni and living in student halls and connected to a big network which provides internet through an ethernet plug in the wall.
I am having trouble connecting to the internet with ps3 when i share my connection over wireless. I have tried changing the settings manually but all i get is a DNS problem (apparently)
These are all the numbers i have
Ethernet:
Using DHCP
IP add: 84.19.43.149
Subnet mask: 255.255.254.0
Router: 84.19.42.1
DNS Server: 84.19.42.1, 84.19.32.1
Search Domain: lms.cust.vaioni.com
Airport (when sharing internet)
Using DHCP i get self assigned IP and it says i may not be able to connect to net
Using DHCP with manual address the same as my ethernet i get connected
IPv4 address: 169.254.226.124
subnet mask: 255.255.0.0
Please can any computer whizz's help, i would be very grateful
Thanks
Tom
p.s, I am using a iMac 2.8ghz intel with latest leopard.
