Is there a way to get specific information on all of the computers on my network? i.e. I have 10 computers on my home network and I need to get hostname, IP addresses of all machines from one computer (in finder or preferably in terminal).

Is there a unix command that does this?

Not sure about the command line. However, some routers allow you to see their client tables. This often shows you hostname, IP, and MAC of every machine (and device) on the LAN.
