Is there a way to easily share my iTunes library with my Ubuntu machine? I am using Songbird 1.0.

Are you interested in sharing the same media and configured the playlists on each (iTunes, Songbird) or are you looking to share the iTunes Library iTunes Database File?

What sort of LAN setup do you have?

I think I would just like to share the iTunes file so I could play the music from Songbird, and also have the playlists show up in Songbird. I connect to the Mac with iTunes wirelessly.

You used to be able to to share music outside of iTunes using daap, but Apple has since blocked this. There are services that will allow you to share your iTunes music through the internet, but there is no way to do this through the LAN until Apple decides to allow this again.

There may be some script that will read the iTunes database file and allow you to stream the music files from a shared volume, but what I said above in terms of actual iTunes Bonjour/zeroconf sharing applies...
