I just installed my new Linksys WRT-54GL.

I saw that this unit has its own firewall.

I already have the Mac OS X firewall on.

So, don't you think it's better to switch the firewall of the router off? Two firewalls might slow down my connection...

No, and it won't cause an appreciable slowdown.

Find out which one you feel is easier to configure. Then switch the other one off. A firewall is only as good as you configure it.
