Do they exist? I've done some Googling and come up with nothing of use. I'd prefer something that does L2TP/IPSec, but PPTP is adequate for the moment.

In all likelihood, no. You would be better off finding a home router that can initiate the connection for you and putting it behind that.

Yes, I used to use them aeons ago (~2001). Not sure if they still exist and I doubt they're still maintained.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
