I have been looking, unsuccessfully, for a small, battery-powered device that I can wirelessly stream music to. My house has an intercom system with an auxiliary input, but there is no power supply near the console. This would make it a pain in the butt to use an airport express or any other device that requires AC power. I'm looking for a small, battery-powered (disposable or rechargeable) receiver with either stereo mini or RCA outputs. Ideas?

No power near it? So what's powering the intercom itself? You could add a new wall outlet near it.

I seriously doubt such a device exists. Extension cords are your friends! ;-)

Don't know about battery runtime with that kind of application.
