Macbook 2,1 10.5.8
I am staying in a long term motel. At this one place and no other I am constantly losing my internet connection. Using Firefox or Safari if I try to open a new page or click a link, the new page never loads. The only way I can beat it is to disconnect the ethernet cable, wait till I am notified that I have lost connection, then plug it back in and hit "Try Again". This opens the page fine and all is well till I try another page.
So I set up a wifi in the room. No real improvement. The way past this is to shut off airport and turn it back on. Also I can use "Join other networks" reenter my password and bingo, back on line. As I said this only happens a this one place, but it happens to be where I am living. Speed test showed about 1.3Mbts up and down. Any ideas?
