For my networked music system (Squeezebox) I need to allow TCP ports 3483 and 9000 and UDP Port 9000 through the firewall. I found crystal-clear instructions online for how to do it under OS 10.4 back when i was setting it up.

However, I just migrated to a new Mac Pro running 10.6, and as I feared, they've changed the Firewall control panel so that those old instructions no longer fit.

Can someone explain - - simply and clearly - - how to set up port access like that in 10.6?

Did you try adding Squeezebox as an app in the Firewall tab under Security Preferences? Squeezebox isn't something that's entirely unknown (even I know about it and I basically live under a rock when it comes to this sort of thing), so OS X should know what ports to open for it.

Hello,

I switched from pc to Mac and want to enable mySqueezebox. Squeezebox is a HTML application and I can't find a way to add it to the app firewall of 10.6.2. Also I can't add a port.

Please help me find a way to open up the firewall.
