Oh, and yes, that really does say 720 KB per second download speed. Having my own OC-12 line is nice sometimes....

It is added by default to represent what language you are using on your computer. I have my computer set up for both English and Japanese and you use that menu to switch between the two. In that shot, it was on English.
You'll get that whenever you use more than one language on your computer.

my latest desktop.
adjusted the hue of the wallpaper to make 14 colour variations, every 25 seconds osX does its thing and fades in a new colour.
