Look closer
Full transparancy would probably mean no longer clickable.
I'm new to Adium, but I would perhaps match the list background color with the desktop.

That's what I was thinking too (and I suppose the reason why it's not possible, not in Adium itself, at least).

But look at Makki's latest screenshot: unless my eyes are deteriorating at an incredible pace, or the colours are tricking me, or Makki cheated with Photoshop or something, he really does have a completely transparent background—hence me asking the same thing as fg just above his post.

Gerrit is right, the adium background is the same color than the desktop background.
But it's possible to have Adium looks completely transparent if you put the part of your desktop background nd at the place of adium background, like I did here (contains nudity, sorry): http://djlyzombie.free.fr/dotclear/i...bureau64_2.jpg
The same thing has been made for adium message style background and finder background.ba

I like how that window is transparent and you can see your desktop. What's it take to accomplish that? Can it be done with Tiger alone or do you need some extra utility?

Here's mine...i've been playing with widgets now that Yahoo bought Konfabulator and made the software free. It is a lot more convenient than the dashboard.

Lovely setup, everything matches. Thumbsup for the original Dock approach.
Too bad there's not a single window showing…
And you probably know you can disable the 1 pixel line of Sidenote.

HD things? Do you mean the details next to the HD icon? Or the paw print in the menu bar?
