Not much of a customization, other than a few icons, some dock spacers, some finder shelves and an adium theme.

You have to use a large image that is big enough to cover the entire scroll area.

Sadly. I don't get why they don't let it tile. Just put in a single checkbox that says "Tile" or better yet, a pull-down with options like in the Desktop Pictures section of System Preferences. Tile, stretch, etc...

It is just a fairly large image. I downloaded them from somewhere or another (simply found them by googling 'finder shelves') and then turned the massive png into a smaller jpeg file so the finder was snappier.

Don't think I've posted one of these in awhile.

A combination of BowTie and GeekTool plus an explosion of color.

The weather and the background for my "Sidebar" are GeekTool. (The Weather script can be found in many places on the internet. Just use Google for GeekTool Weather.)

The rest, time, date, calendar, photo of Zooey Deschanel and song playing are a custom Bowtie Bowlet I made myself. It's proprietary. I built it myself custom.

The photo changes every 30 seconds between an assortment of specially picked photos.

The font used is from dafont.com and is called "EraserDust" and "Eraser" (One is all caps and hasslightly different numbers but doesn't have the Degrees symbol or some other special entities.)

The desktop picture is from InterfaceLift: Smell of Holland
It is one of a hundred or so photos taken from IL. Alas, not all of them are as colorful as this one.

The video is "Weird Al" Yankovic's latest "Craigslist". It's a style parody of The Doors.
See it here.

The music video for the song playing in iTunes can be seen here.

Sumanico is a Leopard theme? Where did you get it? I have a theme now, but forgot the name - I'll post a screenshot in a minute, but I'm getting a little bored and I'm not aware of many themes for Leopard (if this is absurd it's only because I live under a rock).

I really wish I could get the rainbow theme they are showing off on the Slightly Pretentious Blog post for Facade.

SPS Development Blog | The Decision

If that theme comes out when Facade is final and Snow Leopard is done I must have it! (As long as it has an partially transparent menubar option.)

Hey all. Just thought I'd share my over-the-top way of doing things. First of all, I don't use....

Finder, Spotlight, Mail, QuickTime, Safari

I've found these all to be problematic and generally leading to my Mac just not being happy. I've replaced them with

Path Finder, QuickSilver, FinderPop, Postbox, NicePlayer and Camino.

All much more powerful apps for what they do. Spotlight, by the way, is completely dead on my system and I wish Apple included a way to do this more easily. Besides syslogd getting unhappy every now and then, I don't have any mysterious background processes taking over my CPU any more.

My menu bar consists of WeatherDock, Skitch, Butler (those are all my running apps in the menubar..so cool), SlimBatteryMonitor, SoundSource, iStat Menus, and X-Assist. I have the desktop set to rotate pics every minute, and I choose a different folder of pics every now and then.

Thanks. I've changed it a little bit. I don't like the dock in Leopard, so I decided to just remove it completely. A few icon tweaks and this is what it looks like now.

Just simple changes that don't ruin the OS. That's the way I like to go.

The only other tweaks I've made are to implement some GUI changes to a few applications. For example, I use Hirogen's Black Pearl mod for VisualHub and VLC.

It is always great to see the evolution of your work. Nice adaptations to the new OS limitations.
