As most themers probably know, in 10.2 there is now 3 sizes of the toolbar buttons. Toolbar button, small toolbar button and mini toolbar button. My questions is: where is the mini toolbar button used?? I've seen the small toolbar buttons in a couple of places, but never the mini one.

It strikes me as being something put in place for things to come. Just like they leave all the Public Beta resources in there, I would assume the new addition of the mini toolbar is for something on the horizon for the OS. The Extras.rsrc is becoming a wasteland for arbitrary elements. Thats why I look forward to resource switching changers, so I can strip all of the useless PB resources out of my theme files; if not for anything else, just so I dont have to scroll through the damn things when developing.

Is there a list of the useless ones anywhere, Swiz? I know the single-window mode button is a dinosaur, but what are the others (if any)?

Yeah, bbx, I made a list for mrsmeger so he can get the categorizing all set for the next version of Themepark. If you want you can email me and I can send you the Excel file with all of the categorization.
Its separated into Aqua,Graphite,Metal,Shared and Obsolete (Public Beta).

I also figured they were for future use, but it would be nice to see how they look in the GUI..

I haven't seen them in use before but I can see that Apple added it for mini floating window. I guess they did it just to shut people up who probably will whine that mini floating window don't have toolbar widget.

I guess you don't need to do that piece unless it's being used by some developers

btw, william, make your own signature! All themers have one
